Foundation Places

Within the 240 places available in Year 7 there are 35 foundation places offered to children of the Christian faith where;

• either they or their parents, play an active role in a Christian Church
• they attend a local Church of England primary school and they or their parents wish them to continue their education in a secondary Church of England school setting.

Any parents applying for a foundation (Church/Church of England Primary School) place, should do so using the school’s Supplementary Application/Information form.

Supplementary Application Form

This will need to be printed and counter-signed by a Church leader. (Hard copies can be collected from Hartford Church of England High School reception).

The supplementary application form should be completed and returned to Hartford Church of England High School by 31st October.

As a Voluntary-Aided School, Hartford Church of England High School acts as its own admissions authority. As such, the Admissions Committee of the Governing Body meets after the close of the applications procedure to process all Foundation applications and identify those that meet the criteria, as set out in the Admissions Policy.
